Research Facilities
As a part of the CAER strategy to develop the physical infrastructure needed to support knowledge creation, technology transfer and innovation in the region, a variety of research and education facilities have been and are being created. These include:
- a permanent research and education facility located in the New London Technology Park in Bedford County, pictured below
- a Wireless Research Lab (WRL) located on the campus of Liberty University and operated by their School of Engineering and Computational Science (SEACS) in collaboration with the CAER
- a Wireless Sensor Network Lab (WSNL) located on the campus of CVCC and operated as part of a collaborative effort between CAER, UVA and CVCC
This drawing depicts the CAER research and education facility, currently under construction and set to be completed by the close of 2010.
