There are 13 public and private Golf courses in the Central Virginia Region that are open year round. Greens fees for 18 holes range from $10 to $80, depending on the course and the day of the week. Poplar Grove is the newest course in the area. This private course in Amherst County, designed by Sam Snead, opened in 2004.
