Participate in the First Annual
Region 2000 Bike Week
May 16th – 20th, 2011
Used for recreation or transportation, bicycles are an efficient, healthy, and nonpolluting mode of travel.
The Region 2000 Greenway Alliance, a subcommittee of the Region 2000 Local Government Council, is participating in the League of American Bicyclist National Bike to Work Week May 16 – 20, 2011 by hosting the first Region 2000 Bike Week.
The intention of the Region 2000 Bike Week is to empower the citizens of the greater Lynchburg area to incorporate the bicycle into their life whether pedaling to work, to school, or to play.
Join local residents in one or more bicycle-related events planned to encourage friends and colleagues to break out the bike and integrate its use into their daily routine. Whether you are a beginner or avid cyclist, we have an event for you.
