Beaver Creek Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL)   


March 23, 2010 – Beaver Creek Watershed Public Meeting


The 2nd and final Public Meeting on the Beaver Creek TMDL, or water quality study, will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, from 5:30 – 7:00 pm, at the City of Lynchburg Information Technology Center, 3550 Young Place, Lynchburg, Virginia

During public meeting residents will be provided an overview of the water quality study findings and be provided an opportunity to provide comment on the study.  In addition to the Beaver Creek TMDL study results, the public will be provided an overview of a regional water quality initiative that includes portions of Bedford, Campbell, and Amherst counties and the City of Lynchburg, which will be taking place over the next eight months.

Public comments for material presented at the March 23rd Public Meeting may be submitted to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) via email, fax or postal mail until 11:59 pm on April 23, 2010.  Written comments should include the name, address, and telephone number of the person commenting, and be received during the comment period.
